"Dreadful "Care"."

My father arrived with a bad back and left with a bad back, heart failure, a urine infection and a broken arm. Staff were unable to respond to the infection as it was put down to his dementia. They weren't prepared to act on the information we provided as to the normal level of dementia and treated him as a patient with a much greater degree of dementia than he actually has. Consequently the urine infection (which led to the fall and broken arm) wasn't dealt with. It also meant it was a struggle to get his wishes not to eat in the common dining room agreed to. Beautiful building and facilities and pleasant staff but not proactive enough.
