"Brilliant staff and care for me and my baby!"

About: Royal Preston Hospital / Maternity

I was doubtful about giving birth at Preston as was hoping for a natural birth at Chorley Birth Centre but after reduced movements from my baby I was immediately seen at Preston and given a scan and induced. From the moment I arrived at the hospital I was given such a high quality of care and attention that it was worth a 5 star review. I especially want to acknowledge the midwifes, doctors , anaesthetist and surgeons who were up all night with me while I was in labour they cared for me and helped me make calm and correct decisions and although I ended up in having an emergency c section due to my baby's heart rate dropping, the care and respect I was given was incredible especially as it was a rush to get baby out safely and I had to be given a general anaesthetic as I hadn't numbed enough with the epidural. My baby was born safe and healthy at 7:20am and was taken straight to his dad while I recovered from the anaesthetic. I am someone who hates being in hospital but I cannot fault the staff they kept me and my baby safe and well as well as keeping my partner up to date with everything and keeping him calm and reassured. A massive thank you to everyone who help us that night , 2 weeks on and we are all healthy and well and my baby boy is perfect, I will forever be grateful to the hospital staff!
