"They were excellent"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

I was admitted at 8. 30am and was met by an excellent nurse, who put me at ease while going over all my details she was extremely professional and kind. She did all the necessary prep explaining everything before I went through for the op. I went to the changing facilities and took a seat until the next nurse came and took me into the op room where I met the Doctor along with another nurse, they spoke to me saying what was to happen, then I was sedated and the examination took around 20 minutes.

I was then back on the ward with another nurse who went over what had been done explaining everything. I got dressed and was offered a sandwich and tea which was really lovely (as I feel they have enough to do). I can only praise the staff and doctor and the lovely clean atmosphere. I think people should appreciate more the NHS they were excellent.

Dear Shunsie

Thank you so much for taking the time to post your feedback.

I felt really proud of our staff when reading your comments. It was nice to read that they were able to keep you well informed and supported throughout your whole admission.

In Endoscopy, our patients have fasted for quite a long period of time so being able to offer you a wee sandwich and make you a cup of tea is really satisfying for our staff and one of the nicer jobs that we do.

I will share your post with our staff now, they will be delighted with your kind words.

I hope that you have recovered well

Thanks again

Kind regards

Gill Ogden
