"Fantastic, caring staff."

About: King's Mill Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Fantastic, caring staff.

What could be improved

Gowns and paper underwear that fit larger people so that basic dignity can be maintained.

Anything else?

Gown was improved on second visit so at least i was listened to but no point spending millions on new facilities if basics are not correct, how much does it cost relatively so have several sizes of gowns?

Other than that cannot praise the doctor and staff on Cardiac Catheter Suite enough shame hospital is now so impersonal and far too long a walk when you have heart problems.Would also think older patients would find it very large and scary.

Thank you for your kind comments. We are pleased that your second visit was better for you - we will ensure that your thoughts about the gown size is fed back to the manager responsible for the cardiac catheter suite.

We are sorry that you do not like our new hospital, we have dedicated way-finder volunteers on duty during normal working hours to help our visitors find their way to the new departments and wards. If you need assistance with walking inside the hospital please ask at main reception who can arrange for a 'buggy' or a porter with a wheelchair to transport you.
