"Incredible support from Retford childrens centre"

About: Retford Central Children's Centre

(as the patient),

I was struggling with my eldest child's behaviour and so I had help from a family support worker. Together we was able to put strategies in place to control this behaviour and I was also able to gain my confidence again.

All the support from Emily and the children's centres has helped me to further myself to now help others.

I am currently a perinatal support worker, I volunteer in the centres and am doing my level 3 in childcare.

My children are more relaxed now and I am more confident around my children and in the workplace.

None of this would have been possible if it wasn't for the incredible support I received from Emily and the staff at the children's centres.

Being a parent is amazing but, as children grow, we have to learn new strategies to deal with any challening behaviours. The family support service is there to help parents with this. Its great to know that your experience has not only helped you and your child but has also enabled you to help others in return and progress your career choices.


I am sure Emily and the staff at the Centre will be thrilled that you not only took the time out from your busy day to give us your feedback but also in wishing you well in future. I personally would like to thank you for your contributions as a volunteer.
