"Too quick to prescribe extremely dangerous drugs"

I was in a bad state and got sent here. I have no idea what it said on the referral letter, but clearly something that did not do me any favours. I had only met the GP once. The staff in there had almost no understanding of difficult issues such as the housing situation in London. they didn't seem particularly understanding, but kept dragging me back to sessions when i was solving the issues myself. I was given the extremely strong drug quetiapine, which was ok but a decision was made early on that my dose would be doubled and then doubled again. This drug has some extremely debilitating effects, and I am still picking up the tab a long time later. One of the most worrying parts is that they happily give older people extremely high doses, whereas I was on a relatively small dose I was told. they had no idea that there might be anything wrong with that. I must mention that the key worker I was given had a reasonably helpful attitude, but was still going to do what they were told, and didn't see anything at all wrong with giving such high doses to people. If it didn't work, we could try another one I was told. My time there culminated in a final appointment where I was extremely poorly having just taken the double dose and having been expecting to go to work the next day. In the end I was shipped off to a member of my family who was a source of stress anyway for me, which while i apparently agreed to, this was without another option. This led me to lose having anywhere to live in the end, as I needed this time to find another place, and on that drug it was utterly impossible to do anything. I then ended up living at others not under my free will and took it more than I otherwise would have. There was a very key point where it was important to avoid having nowhere to live, instead it was written that i had 'preoccupations about my flat'. I was also told i wasn't unwell because of the medication, which was an assertion they couldn't make and it turned out to be utterly incorrect. Their big mistakes and intrusive and over the top treatment have had a huge effect on my life and I am picking up the tab months later. I nearly forgot to mention the psychiatrist, who had an appallingly arrogant manner. I had to complain to the key worker about them after and write an enormous message, otherwise I would have enjoyed an even worse level of treatment throughout.

There may well have been errors in the original write up of my assessment, as things took a strong turn from there. Once i found out what they were writing back to the gp surgery about me, the treatment I was getting became clear. It's not all their fault, the main experience I had that they were concerned about was immediately after taking an extremely strong drug I was given by the gp, and has never happened since.
