"I went to the hospital as an emergency ..."

About: Queen's Hospital, Burton Upon Trent

(as the patient),

What I liked

I went to the hospital as an emergency with a possible burst appendix.

Even though it was an emergency Doctors kept me in informed on what would happen.

The next day I was told it was a tumour and they had to remove more than was first thought. After tests had been done they told me it was cancer and had spread. I was given excellent support, care and was treated as an intelligent individual. That was 4 years ago. The care I received was suburb you couldn’t fault anything. 2 years later I was then determined to have my IVF/ICSI baby there too even though I was technically out of their area. I had a planned delivery due to other complications, and ended up staying for 4 weeks prior to having my baby.

I can not give enough praise to all members of staff. From top consultants to cleaners. All have been friendly, supportive and helpful.

I thought the food was good as well. OK so it’s not 5 michelin stars but its fresh, healthy and tasty.

What could be improved

I can’t thing of anything.

Thank you kindly for you comments which are very much appreciated. It is wonderful to see that you received that first class care that all our staff at Queen’s Hospital aim to deliver.
