What I liked
I came into the A & E department with my husband as feeling very unwell and within 5 minutes was called to be seen by the Triage nurse, and again a couple of minutes later was admitted to the emergency ward.
I was given a C.T. scan and later that evening I was taken to 6b South, I was very distressed at first as I was put in a bay with a lot of very elderly people, and all though I appreciate that they were very poorly it did make me feel a lot worse, especially as I had lost my Mum and this brought back a lot of sadness. However the staff were wonderful and moved me to a side ward and that's were I stayed until being discharged. The 4 days I was in (all over Easter) they could not do enough for me and that is all levels of the nursing staff, always smiling (though no doubt tired at times).
The food was always hot and served nicely and a big thanks to the member of staff who was always so polite and made an excellent cuppa..
I have to come back tonight (12th) for a MRI scan and tomorrow for another scan, which has been booked within a week of being discharged.
Of course we could always look for something to moan about re the NHS and that is always what you hear on the news these days.
But I want to say again a BIG thanks to all the staff on the Stroke Ward, they are really marvellous.
What could be improved
Can't think of anything!!
