"My heart attack holiday"

About: Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

I was expecting a pleasantly dull holiday weekend walking the dog along Wells-next-to the-sea's famously beautiful beach. But instead I had the sudden excitement of a heart-attack and had to call out the volunteer First Response medic and the para-medics.

Twice.

On each occasion their treatment, kindness and humour was exemplary.

My journey from A & E to angioplasty was also excellent navigated by skilled & and friendly staff and fueled by (mostly) good food.

My heartfelt thanks to all concerned for extending my life - you've made a lot of people very happy, particularly me.

Dear Mr Thain

We are pleased to hear that you are making a good recovery after your heart attack. We will pass on your thanks to the teams in A&E and cardiology who will be delighted to hear that you had a good experience in our hospital.

Kind regards
