I've had to be admitted into QC Lewis Ward a few times now a pregnancy relaed complication. On the whole staff are helpful and reactive to your needs. However there are a handful of midwives who are rude and haven't quite grasped what appropriate social interaction and behaviour towards others should be. There is one particular midwife who is consistently rude and quite frankly passive aggressive most of the time with most people. I have had to witness this midwife argue with a consultant in front of me, which was not only unprofessional but completely disrespectful. The midwife kept speaking over the consultant and giving me information which was not accurate nor helpful! In the end the consultant approached me separately and helped me within minutes and demonstrated to the midwife there was no need to make such a fuss over a very small matter when it could have been resolved quickly. I would rather not name drop on this review but am happy to disclose this information if contacted offline.
