What I liked
The staff on the day surgery unit were absolutely fantastic - nothing was too much trouble for them. They were very attentive and spent time trying to allay my anxiety.
What could be improved
The time in the afternoon waiting for someone to come and discharge me. I was ready to go at 3pm but had to wait until 5pm when one of the nurses came to wind things up for me.
Anything else?
A mention for the consultant, assistant, the anaesthetist and the theatre nurses. They all spent as much time as possible with me explaining what was going to happen, and ensuring all the questions on the consent form were covered in detail.
This made everything so much easier for this nervous patient !
