I arrived at the hospital on time for my appointment. Tried to find a parking space none to be found. A wagon had parked in the grounds taking up 6 spaces. By the time I had parked up (in a disabled bay) and found my way to the consulting rooms I was 10 minutes late. I apologized and gave my reasons. No problem. After waiting for nearly an hour I spoke with the receptionist who stated that the consultant was aware I was waiting. After waiting altogether for an hour and a half I went back to the receptionist who phoned through to the consultant who informed the receptionist that they would not be seeing me today as I was 10 mins late for my appointment. How about saying when I get there you can't be seen today as you are 10 mins late. Common courtesy comes to mind.
"Disrespectful and humiliating"
