"Emergency Stent insertion"

About: Kettering General Hospital / Cardiology

Admitted with chest pains via the Rapid Access Chest Pain Unit I was treated in Oakley Ward of the Coronary care Unit. My condition was promptly diagnosed by angiogram and options for treatment discussed with me by the Consultant. An angioplast was arranged within hours. Medical, Nursing and Care staff worked really hard to make my stay reassuring, comfortable and enjooyable. Unfortunately a disturbed night in the shared Recovery bay due to the continual monitor bleeps of a low heart-rate patient did let things down a bit

I sincerely appreciate your kind comments regarding the care you received in CCU/Oakley when you were admitted to our ward. I'm so pleased to know that you appreciate the dedication and hard work of our staff / doctors and other health care professionals to ensure you received the best care that they can offer. I have posted your letter in our staff room and your words were visibly heartening to them. This serves as an inspiration to our staff and they as much deeply appreciate your good comments.

Many thanks

Amalia Batayola

CCU/Oakley Interim Ward Matron
