"Treatment from resus unit staff"

About: Darent Valley Hospital / Accident and emergency

Had to take my husband to A&E today on the advice of our GP.

As we arrived at the reception area he collapsed.

He was immediately surrounded by medical staff and was taken immediately to the resus unit.

At all times we were offered care and consideration and brilliant treatment with all the tests required being done in a prompt and efficient manner.

We were constantly reassured and at no time made to feel a waste of time.

Whilst the staff were treating him they were also coping with another patient who went into cardiac arrest several times. Staff were constantly apologising for any delay we were experiencing but we, of course, were completely understand. My husband was discharged from the unit within 3 hours.

Thank you to the staff.
