The waiting times have increased for booked appointments. Waiting for appointments is understandable but a2 hours wait for a booked appointment is unacceptable. In the maturnity unit staff are friendly and work hard but the waiting times are unfair. Pregnant ladies can get dizzy from not eating for long periods.many have to bring there child along to. Its unfair to make someone wait so long and children for a booked appointment. Every appointment ive been to is late with it getting longer waiting times. A scheme does need to be put in place. This will help staff to im sure. But hiring more staff or a scheme to reduce waiting times or longer appointmentsso people dont run over time or put blank appts in ,so the staff have chance to catch up.im not in anyway highlighting the staff.they are amazing and a credit to the hosptail but waiting times for booked appts. Maybe when u arrive there could be a warning to say its 40 mins wait then u are aware? A few steps as suggested could help run things smoother in a stressful enviroment. In the maturity unit the garden door is usually locked and it gets very hot espically for pregnant ladies and their children. Please could this be looked at.many thanks. Id like tp point out the staff are very caring but the waiting times are awful and bring it down.
