My son was bought into A and E by ringwood paramedics after losing his finger tip on a gate. The care that my son received by all medical staff were amazing and as worried parents we were always updated and kept in the loop as what was going on. My son was seen immediately and the doctor that met us in a and e when we arrived showed great professionalism care and support. The plastics team then examined the finger and again we were told exactly what was to happen and when, always being informed swiftly. The nurse practitioner from the plastics team was just brilliant, they showed great compassion, putting us at ease and could relate to how we were feeling as parents . They were such a 'people person', a skill which helps us parents get through which we would call a traumatic time! Also a huge thank you to the surgeon who carried out our sons surgery. Again, they were extremely professional, direct so we knew what was happening, and after the surgery came up to the ward explaining in depth (in simple terms which helps those that are not in the medical field!) what they did and what we needed to do to help the finger heal. As for Sarum ward, this would be our third visit on this ward over the years and they have never failed to let us down. Their care and communication is just impeccable, it has such a lovely and warming feel to the ward with incredibly hard working staff. Thank you to all the staff involved with our son, you are all such wonderful and caring people and amazing at what you do, we cannot thank you enough.
"Amazing care from all departments"
