Husband
For years I've suffered from very low self esteem which was due to my poor health as being unemployed since my heart attack in November 2013. But after interacting with the Mr D since oct 15 through couple behavioural therapy, my relationship with my wife improved. First with increased confidence level. I joined a computer class for 2 months and at end of Dec 15 I got a temporary job for 2 months. This job and continuous encouragement by Mr D and ably supported by my wife I was able to come out of my shell. I had issues with of poor /eccentric communication with my son and wife which slowly started improving. My son who would not accept my irritable and nagging behaviour started opening up having seen improvement in my behaviour with my wife and himself. Eventually, with improved implementation and techniques of CBT, we planned a long holiday which we still cherish. My wife's personal relationship/my confidence has improved and I do not have low feelings.Wife
I would like to thank Mr D for helping us. My husband would criticise me and would not listen to me, but now he is patient and listens cooly and his ego does not come in to play often. I have accepted the fate in life and enjoying, relaxing while we are together. Mr D helped us in analysing our common problem and found solution to our problems. My husband does not throw tantrums and he behaves in a rational manner. For my part I explained to him in proper sequence so that there is no misunderstanding or clash of ego. We have learned to allow each other separate space and when we are together we enjoy the joy of life. as couples we have learned not to have high wishes, desires and expectation which are not practical/ possible but to be realistic. We are grateful to IAPT for giving us an opportunity to improve in our couple relationship.
