"Asked to be referred to vascular surgeon and told sorry no funding left in Lanarkshire"

About: NHS Lanarkshire University Hospital Monklands / General Medicine (Wards 2,10,12 and 17)

(as the patient),

I've had on going troubles with my legs, had blood clot removed and leg vein stripped. over the years its being getting impossible with the pain and swelling from both my legs to carry on with the hours at work so I've been ongoing visits to Doctors and tests also been in AE with suspected clot on two occasions in past two years. Long story short is I attended Doctors appointment yesterday to ask for referral to vascular surgeon and the answer was sorry Lanarkshire health board has no funding left for vascular treatment your option is to go private. I would like to take this further I feel I've been let down by NHS, could you give me any guide lines to follow on this subject please? Thanks.
