"Disaster from beginning to end and onwards..."

After my Sergery of a Gastric Bypass, I was in so much pain. I was told that they had No liquidised food only offer me beef stew and dumplings or a jelly which was very upsetting for me as I was diabetic in the end I actually went down to the shop and bought myself a cuppa soup's and rich tea biscuits that I could dunk in my tea. The Staff were rude.i had to

Monitor my own blood sugar readings as they noticed I had my Machine with me and to let them know if I go hypo. They were very good at chatting together at the nursing station laughing as they speak about myself and other ladies in the word. Evening tossing a coin to see which nurse would be next to come in. 4 years down the line and still problems with my stomach

And vitamin deficiencies I now have to have B12 injections for the rest of my life

I now have been put back onto baby food like consistency due to swallowing difficulties again the gastric bypass is a horrific operation and more should be discussed with the patient regarding years down the line of difficulties. I had this operation due to reflux iI had for many years.

It's a shame that numbers count more than people's lives. And when my problems first arrived after my operation the surgeon didn't want to know me and kept fobbing me off.

My gastric bypass has ruined my life and taking control with no mercy it's not right people have to be told further down the line of these deficiencies if had been told more at the time of these guaranteed problems I would've thought twice in having the procedure done and I am all-round very disappointed very upset and still in a great deal of pain .

I am very sorry that you are unhappy with the outcome of your Gastroenterology surgery which took place 4 years ago and that you are still experiencing a lot of pain.

If you have not done so already, with your care in mind, may I suggest that you speak with your General Practitioner who should be able to advise you how to proceed.
