My relation has a learning learning disability and had a major operation at the hospital. He was extremely well looked after right from the start. Ward staff, without exception, were patient and caring as he was very distressed at times. The hospital chaplains visited regularly and gave him great comfort. We were particularly impressed by the support both the the patient and family received from the Learning Disabilities Team. The member of the Hospital Social Services Discharge team assigned to him was extremely dedicated in their search for a suitable care package for him following several weeks in the hospital. They and their colleagues in the Learning Disabilities team worked together to ensure the best possible outcome.
"Excellent care"
