"Blood test chaos"

About: Solihull Hospital / Clinical haematology

Had a blood test yesterday at Solihull Hospital, had to wait for over 40mins in the waiting room, then we were called through and then had to line up at the door waiting for our turn, some patients were elderly and were kept standing a long time while 2 members of staff were having a private conversation.

Much prefer the old service where you were kept seated until it was your turn. After my test my arm instantly came up in a lump and this morning it is a large blue lump and very bruised.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your patient experience at the Phlebotomy Department at Solihull Hospital.

I am sorry to read that you had a wait of over 40 minutes in the waiting room, and then were called through to have a further wait while, as you advise, two members of staff were having a private conversation.

This causes concern to me. Can I please ask you to contact me so that I may obtain some more information from you to enable me to look into your patient experience in more detail? I would be most grateful.
