"CBT Therapy"

About: Ealing IAPT

(as the patient),

Stressors at work had greatly affected my mood. My GP referred me to the service and honestly it was one of the best things I have ever done! I underwent 6 weeks of one to one CBT with Nick (therapist). Not only did the sessions equip me with strategies to become productive again, but also ways to challenge the negative thoughts I had. Weeks on I am still doing great! Thank you so much! ! !

Dear Zammy

According to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), in 2014/15, 440,000 people in the UK reported work-related stress at a level they believed was making them ill. That's 40% of all work-related illness. Psychological problems, including stress, anxiety and depression, are behind one in five visits to a GP. Some pressure at work can be motivating, but when it becomes excessive it can eventually lead to work-related stress.

I am therefore sure that many people can identify with what you written. It looks like the CBT intervention that Nick facilitated really made a difference. It is also encouraging to hear that weeks on you are still experiencing the benefits.

Thank you for sharing your story and best of luck with the future.

Yours sincerely, Josef
