"First visit to the hospital"

About: The Maidstone Hospital / Accident and emergency

This was my first visit to the hospital. I visited A&E. I arrived at ten. As soon as I walked in I felt comfortable and was given a warm welcome and the good experience I had on entering A&E continued until I walked out. I did have to wait a while but I didn't feel I had been forgotten but felt that I was someone who needed to see a doctor and not that I was a nuisance or wasting anyones time. I was offered pain killers on three occasions which was very good. On the third occasion I accepted as by this time I needed pain relief. The whole experience was excellent and I left at four. One negative thing I would say is that I paid on my way out (£6) but the barrier was open (which I couldn't see from where I had parked). One hospital I know of could learn a lot from this hospital

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review of the service you received in the Emergency Department.

We're really sorry it's taken us so long to respond, but unfortunately we've had problems in not receiving notifications when reviews are posted.

It's great to learn that your experience was excellent and the ED staff will have greatly appreciated your kind comments.

With best wishes, The PALS Team.
