I came into hospital on Ward 14 for an emergency colonoscopy.
I never realised how hard the nurses had to work, and the amount of care and patience they afforded everybody. Because I am totally blind
I had to be put in a side room with a commode.
As I was not on an elective list I was the last patient in the endoscopy suite.
I received the best care possible and the colonoscopy was executed with an expertise I can only say was first class.
Back on the ward afterwards I had 2 slices of marmalade on toast and 2 cups of tea which were wonderful beyond belief, having staved for 24 hours.
Thank you for the speed of my appointment, the care and attention of the nurses and orderlies and especially the tea person.
