Just wanted to thank all the Day Unit staff who helped me before and after my operation, they were very caring, cheery and helpful. I was very nervous about having a regional anaesthetic and the theatre staff were very reassuring and kind, it made my experience far more pleasant than I was expecting. The only issue I had was a long wait from being told I could be discharged, to getting out of the hospital with my prescription. But overall very happy, thanks again.

Having an operation can be a very stressful time for patients and we expect them to be nervous before the procedure, I am pleased to hear that the staff were very reassuring and kind to you. I hope you are on the mend.

I can understand your frustration whilst waiting to be discharged, it can be a delayed process and is something we continue to try and improve.
