"Accident & Emergency Dept - a credit to Salford..."

About: Salford Royal / Accident and emergency

We would like to thank all the Clinical and Non-Clinical staff who were on duty in the Accident & Emergency Department on the of evening of 11th and the morning of 12th August who attended to and cared for our son, when he was admitted with a sudden and severe life threatening allergic reaction to something he had eaten.

He was seen within minutes of arriving at , in fact his Dad was still giving our son's details at Reception when a Nurse suddenly appeared and rushed him through to be treated and stabilised by an excellent team of Doctors and Nurses.

He was then transferred through to EAU to be cared for and observed overnight until he had recovered and then discharged home with appropriate medication including 2 EpiPens. He has since been given an appointment for a full allergy test.

All the staff who were on duty that night are a credit to the hospital’s A&E Department and EAU ward.

A big “Thank You” to you all once again - you saved our son's life!
