What I liked

The physiotherapy staff were friendly, professional and very knowledgeable, and explained all aspects of my condition (chronic patellar tendonitis) and treatment. Appointments were regular and at times that suited me. The cause of my problem (postural) was quickly determined by the clinical staff, after almost 18 months of GPs not referring but trying to treat with anti-inflammatories alone. I was given exercises to do at home and regularly assessed to make sure that I was doing them right. My experience of my treatment could not have been better. I am so grateful to my physiotherapists for helping me to be pain free for the first time in a very long time! Also, the whole hospital was spotlessly clean every time I visited.

What could be improved

The car parking at King Edward's is quite bad, it is often very difficult to find a space, and then you are charged for the privilege (would benefit from having a shorter-time pay and display option eg 30 mins for popping in). The markings are unclear, and they often put cones and tape in strange places so you're not sure what to do. More than once I failed to find a space within 10 minutes - make sure you arrive well in advance of your appointment, just in case. On one occasion I used the canteen, which was clean but there was very little choice on offer and I had to wait for a couple of minutes before someone appeared and I was able to pay.

Anything else?

Most of the parts of the hospital I saw were a little dark and gloomy. I'm not sure if there would be ways to improve this, but the whole place would benefit from a bit more natural light and/or a brighter colour scheme.
