I visited a&e on 08/09/16 early evening due to asthma difficulties which had been going on for about 3wks but worsened that evening. For weeks I had been seeing my gp and asthma nurse saying my asthma wasn't right but i kept getting sent away and told to keep an eye on things. This evening things got particularly worse so I headed straight to a&e. From the moment I was there untill the moment I left I received outstanding service and care. From booking in to being assessed to being discharged with medication. I found the doctor seeing to me to be very polite, friendly, knowledgeable and above all willing to listen to me which as stated above is something that has been lacking. It turned out I actually had a collapsed left lung and a chest infection and the doctor was not happy it had been left so long. I got treated as necessary and then given antibiotics and more and discharged. All together I was booked in, seen and discharged within an hour. I'm very very grateful and thankful for the quality I care last night it was a relief to finally get heard and treated properly and I'm pleased to say I'm starting to feel better for the first time in a month.
I am unfortunately a regular visitor as I suffer with allergic reactions frequently but I have to say there has not been a single time I have been to a&e and received bad service. Fantastic hospital, keep up the good work and thank you for listening.
