It's taken a few days to actually sink in, hence only writing the post now but I want to send out special thanks to the ambulance crew and 1st responder that attended my house after my son stopped breathing early hours of friday morning in Lincoln. He's only 9 weeks old and watching the life drain out of him is something I'll never forget. I managed to perform cpr on my son but the panic I felt was immense. I forgot everything, and just panicked when faced with the situation. Thankfully he came back, the team were amazing and I just want to send heartfelt thanks from me my family and baby. xx

We really appreciate the time you have taken to share your experience with us, and your praise for our ambulance crew and first responder.

This must have been an incredibly frightening experience for you and your family but we are delighted that the outcome is good.

Given what you were faced with, it's no wonder you panicked. I hope the assistance our 999 call taker gave was also able to provide you with support and comfort while further help was on its way.

Having a nine-week old baby means you won't have much spare time on your hands, however if you do get a couple of minutes spare in the near future, if you wouldn't mind sending the date, time and location for the call to our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) they will be able to identify the people involved in the response and share your feedback with them.
