About: Broadgreen Hospital / Rheumatology

Disagnosed in May with 'inflammatory arthritis . Haven't seen my consultant since and been informed by her secretary probably won't till next year as I'll just be seeing my nurse on follow up appointments now! Been given conflicting diagnosis's from my consultant and specialist nurse. Neither pay much attention or seem concerned. Been put on Methetrexate and been unhappy with side effects which when I've raised my concerns have been dismissed. In pain everyday with my once happy healthy and fit life being turned upside down . Only people I can talk to are my physiotherapists who are lovely and take time to listen. My GP try's their best and has been supportive but they're not trained in rheumatology. Very unhappy and want to change my consultant but scared to 'Rock the boat'. The two times I've seen my consultant I've found them dismissive of my symptoms . I feel very alone and completely let down. A nurse who came to show me how to self-inject asked me if I have a 'good relationship with my specialist nurse' I said 'what relationship!'
