"Walk in Clinic"

About: Crawley Hospital

On arrival there was a sign up to notify of staff shortages and to allow 3 hours to be seen. The reception staff were friendly and booked me in efficiently.

While I was sat in the waiting room, a lady who had been waiting for 2 hours became increasingly impatient and verbally abused the receptionists because they were unable to speed up the service. Although I was in pain, I was more than happy to wait for an available doctor to help. I was surprised when about an hour into my arrival my name was called and I was seen by a doctor who was quickly able to diagnose my symptoms and prescribe the necessary treatment. Overall I was really impressed with the service, and felt that this needed to be acknowledged as all too often I find people are quick to complain about the nhs.
