"appalling weekend care"

About: Charing Cross Hospital

we visited a patient today who had fallen whilst getting into bed - she was still in shock and shaking when we arrived but there was no nurse/doctor at the station for the whole time we were there.

Patient was supposed to have an X-ray today which never happened, but we couldn't find out why because there was no one to speak to.

We pressed the buzzer for a drink but had to wait 20mins for an orderly who had no empathy or understanding of the situation, I will be complaining tomorrow when there is someone to complain to. I am totally appalled that patients are treated with such disrespect.

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is very concerned about your feedback posted on NHS Choices regarding a patient on one of our wards at Charing Cross Hospital. Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) has passed on your comments to the relevant service managers. We would like to encourage you to contact PALS on either 0203 313 0088 or email pals@imperial.nhs.uk

If the PALS phone is busy, please leave a message and a PALS Officer will get back to you.
