"Physiotherapy"

Last August 2015 I was referred to the physiotherapist department and received an appointment with amazing speed.

Since then I have had the most wonderful and consistently patient and attentive care from my therapist in the Physiotherapy department.

After 6 weeks of Hydrotherapy, some help with core stability via Pilates to promote confidence in what my body can and cannot do, we embarked on a 6-week course of acupuncture.

Lastly, they've enabled my husband to tape up my shoulders, instigated the fitting of a shoulder brace that allows me to continue working and advised me about the use of my TENs machine and the management of my POTs symptoms.

All invaluable to my daily life.

During the time I was constantly been encouraged to use my body more fully and told how to manage my condition more fully.

The care, professionalism and knowledge, thoroughness, respect and kindness has meant that I am able to live my life more fully and I cannot thank the staff enough for all that they have done. I have been, for the present, discharged but know that if I need help my therapist is not far away.

I feel that the NHS never receives enough praise – but I have told everyone that I can that the care I have received – from the whole department - has been exemplary.

Thank you for all that you and your staff do in what I know are difficult circumstances.
