"Thank you to everyone"

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital

Gave birth to my 2nd son here Jan 2016. Unfortunately had to have emergency c section after complications but my care from being taken to theatre onwards was faultless for both myself and my baby boy, who was cared for so well in ICU. The only let down was the maternity assessment unit who I had visited the day before as I had started labour and had some serious concerns. Was seen by a very caring student midwife who was also worried but both their and my concerns were completely dismissed by a senior midwife in the department who sent me home for another 24hrs. I do feel that our complications may have been avoided if the student midwife hadn't been overruled but luckily due to the swift action of the team the next day both my son and myself came through it. I must stress that as of the 2nd visit to MA the care provided by the theatre, recovery and ward staff was second to none and we cannot thank them enough.
