"My review"

About: Wareham Community Hospital

I am completely blown away by the fantastic service this hospital is providing. I have recently heard that the hospital is in danger of being closed down. This would be a tragedy considering the cleanliness, professionalism and health care this unit provides. I have never known a hospital to be so fantastic and utterly vital.

Response from Wareham Community Hospital

Thank you for contacting us to share your feedback on our services at Wareham Community Hospital.

I will share your comments with the Matron and staff who will be pleased to hear such positive feedback.

With regards to your concerns about recent proposals for changes to NHS services published by Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group (Dorset CCG), it is important to be aware that these remain proposals and no changes to services have been decided.

I would like to assure you that local people can expect our services to continue to deliver the high quality care they are used to experiencing at all of our community hospital sites.

The proposed changes will be the subject of public consultation in autumn this year.

It is vital that everyone has the opportunity to comment on the proposals in the formal consultation and I would advise you to take part in that process.

Dorset HealthCare will itself be a formal respondent to the consultation and we will be listening to our staff and local people in the period to autumn in order to shape our response.

If you have any further questions about the proposals, you can email them directly to Dorset CCG via involve@dorsetccg.nhs.uk or call them directly on 01202 541 946.

I do hope this is helpful and thank you again for getting in touch with us.
