About: Royal Derby Hospital

I am a patient originally with the royal infirmary based in Leicester, however due to a massive backlog I was left uninformed from 2012, when I did get a response, 4 years later I accepted takin my procedure up with Derby in hopes to pick up where I was left. This was not the case. Upon the my first appointment there was a delay of almost 2 hours. I thought this was understandable as it may due to having soo many new patients. The second appointment made me question whether I can trust their abilities as my previous consultant suggest an operation and explained everything clearly and had experience too. This consultant at Derby suggest that I must have a filling done, which they had my dentist check twice. Yet my dentist does not seem to think there is a hole in my tooth as there is no pain or sensitivity yet this new consultant seems to think that I need a filling which is costing me £50. The third item to go wrong is that the appointments that I set up had got cancelled and I have just received new appointments where they now clash with my graduation. Because of their errors my procedure is going to be delayed. At this stage I'm beginning to regret having chosen Derby's head and neck unit. I want my original consultant to do this but sadly they retired.
