"Excellent care, just as it should be"

I was admitted to the cardiology department as a day patient on Monday for a cardioversion. From start to finish, the experience was exemplary. The ward was spotless, the nursing staff attentive, considerate and polite, the treatment professional, caring and effective. I have had a number of experiences in the NHS in different locations over the years that have fallen far short of these standards, but my experience in Cheltenham General Hospital on Monday could not be faulted in any way.
