"Slightly odd way of issuing needles"

Was referred to Bolton One pharmacy as the only place to get my first prescription of insulin so trundled over there with the necessary paperwork with all the gubbins on it, including a sharps bin for the needles. Only noticed later that I didn't get a sharps bin for the insulin needles so, on ringing them, was told they don't do them and they've told the diabetic clinic to stop prescribing them. That makes no sense whatsoever as how do you deal with used needles without a sharps bin when the pharmacy issues the needles but no bin? Nice enough staff but the logic defies me. Just be warned if you have the same situation, the pharmacy don't issue bins for prescription needles.
