"Not happy!"

About: Leighton Hospital

Absolutely fuming I wait months for a referral for my little boy to then get a text less than a day for his appointment with no letter before hand which I cudnt make due to work commitments. And my childminder could not being him with having other children. I then call to rearrange to only get the answer machine everytime and no1 bothers to call you back.... this is disgusting where exactly are our taxes going? My sons sight is very important and it's rude to be treated like this.... maybe I might actually get a response from this...

Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding communication from the appointments department. I would like to apologise that you didn’t receive a letter through the post for your child’s appointment, the text reminder service is in place to act purely as a reminder and shouldn’t be the first notification of an appointment, I would also like to apologise if the appointments department have failed to respond to any of your calls, this will be raised with the team.

I hope that your child’s appointment has now been rearranged to suit you, if it hasn’t please contact us again and I will personally resolve this for you.
