"A&E + ambulance service"

About: Watford General Hospital

I had severe shoulder pain which moved down my arm and chest. The ambulance service were excellent. I was crying with pain but they said they would stay as long as needed. Despite being given gas and air and morphine the pain still continued so I was taken to A&E. The staff there were outstanding. The senior nurse that looked after me was amazing. They got my pain under control and explained how to maintain it. I was given painkillers and a sling. They explained that the pain was from a compressed nerve plus other things. Truly a wonderful supportive department. Thank you so much.
