"Hospital stay"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

2 nights stay in the MAU B ward...unable to sleep, too busy, supposed to be resting, no chance! Too noisy, staff laughing loudly at 2pm in the morning, no consideration for patients. Had to ask nurse to turn lights out on ward at 3pm to enable us to sleep. Transferring patients at 3pm all well and good but can you not do it quietly? We are in there because we are poorly and trying to rest whilst waiting for transfer onto another ward......no chance. Care on the cardiac ward after transfer fantastic! I was absolutely shattered and desperate for sleep, there is no way you can do this, shame really. 2 of the nurses on MAU should never have taken up nursing, ignorant, no compassion and not interested in patient opposite that couldnt reach his drink, I had to get out of bed to help him.....not good care. Shame really as all the tests done fantastic and staff good there, just the MAU dept, lets you down.
