"Cortisone Injection - Knee"

About: C/O Care UK, Bucks Msk, High Wycombe

My mother has had discomfort in her knee after she fell while shopping several months ago.

This effected her mobility.

At long last her doctor referred her to have a cortisone injection and she visited the Brookside Clinic in Aylesbury and saw a Consultant.

As her daughter, I was welcomed into the consultation room by the Consultant.

Right from the start of the consultation, they put my 85 year old mother at ease and was very kind and gentle.

They spent time working to remove a large amount of fluid which had gathered around the knee joint, before the cortisone injection.

How refreshing to come in contact with someone so professional and understanding, kind and gentle.

They treated my mother with enormous dignity and humour; spot on!

My mother is already feeling the benefit and already her mobility has improved.

She is singing the praises of her Consultant!

We always hear of bad news from our glorious NHS; people are slow to commend but we want to say, "hats off" to everyone at Brookside; 'thank you' and especially to the Consultant, thank you so, so much!

Thank you so much for taking the time to feedback regarding your mothers appointment within the service.

I am so pleased that your mother’s mobility has improved and your experience was a positive one.

I will ensure that your feedback is passed onto everyone at the Brookside clinic, including the Consultant.
