"Milton Keynes Maternity saved our baby"

I would like to thank the outstanding care we recieved from MK Maternity unit during the birth of our baby.

Because of the experience, professionism and outstanding care provided by our community midwife, Liz and the antenatal day assessment midwives at MKH we still have our baby. They all spotted the drop in his heart rate following my contractions and knew it wasn't something to take lightly. We were admitted that day and induced. The labour progessed and the baby was monitored. The decision was made to deliver by c-section when a significant drop was recorded. Our midwife, Rouna, and the team sprang into dazzling action and our son was delivered extremely quickly from when the emergency operation was called for. Our son was not breathing and had to be intubated. We nearly lost him but because of their skill and dedication we still have our baby.

We would like to thank the teams at Miilton Keynes who do not recieve enough praise for their continued hard work, dedication and professionalism. So thank you Antenatal Day Assessment Unit, Neonatal unit, surgical team and midwives and nursery nurses of the maternity wards (especially Rouna, Dionne, Becca, Louise, Suzanne and Jude).
