"transport"

About: Pinderfields General Hospital

(as a relative),

My father having cancer arrived for his appointment. He was taken in for his appointment and my wife were told he would be there 40 mins then in recovery for an hour as he was. They asked about transport home as not able to drive and was told that it had been sorted just wait in downstairs area they will come to you (or not as the case was to be).

They were waiting for transport for quite a while my wife asked ambulance drivers but to no avail they were not waiting for my dad but was told to go back upstairs and speak to them on ward 39. When she got there, there were only the cleaners about. She was then told to go to the front desk and they would book a taxi and hospital would pay for  the journey. On arriving at front desk they had finished for the day so had to get taxi themselves at there own expense after 5 hours in hospital. Now I hope to find the right place to get refunded.
