Leading up to my operation I was extremely anxious, on the day of the operation I arrived at 7:30 AM, I was greeted by very helpful receptionist who dealt with me promptly and efficiently. After a short wait in the waiting room a nurse came and took me to my room and started the admission procedure, the nurse could tell I was extremely nervous and anxious about the operation this was due to having a previous bad experience at the dentist many years ago where I felt ithem taking my teeth out due to the lack of gas.
The nurse reassured me and made me feel a lot more at ease, I also had a visit from the physiotherapist the surgeon and the anaesthetist all within three quarters of an hour of arriving in my room. I was taken to the anaesthetic room where again the anaesthetist reassured me, the next thing I woke up and my knee operation had been done I was in no pain or discomfort.
I returned to my room and was soon sitting up having a cup of tea and some toast while my blood pressure and other observations were being taken, I was ready to go home by 11 AM which I was really surprised how quickly I had come round, I have to say from arriving to leaving the service, care and attention I got from all-staff was absolutely fantastic five stars all round.
