"Treatment in A and E"

I accompanied an elderly friend to A and E today. I was most impressed with the staff who dealt with her issue. The nurse was kindness itself and took an interest in my friend as a person. The doctor was extremely thorough and gentle. Finally she saw two physiotherapists who were a delight. The whole process took three hours which included a visit to the X Ray wing. Bedford hospital has come in for a great deal of criticism over the years and yes, not everything is up to scratch. Things are improving I feel sure and well done to A and E who did their best today to provide a good level of service.
