"Early pregnancy unit / gynae assessment unit"

I attended the early pregnancy unit/gynacology department twice for suspected miscarriage. On arrival, the nurse/ support worker welcomed me, didnt keep me waiting and checked my observations and urine within minutes of arrival. There was a slightly longer wait for the scan however on both occassions the sonographers were very supportive and professional. I had an issue when one of the doctors was asked to check on findings of an examination. They did not explain what they were doing and I can only describe the examination as painful and disrespectful. This was followed by a doctor and nurse who were kind, gentle and respectful. I have had to contact the unit since and again had a conversation with a nurse who was extremely understanding. On the whole, the staff at the unit were wonderful and during what has been a very difficult time with the miscarriage they have been respectful and kind.
