"Appointment system & importance of time"

The Medical Physics department in Dexa Scan was only 2 staff who seemed to work well. I was happy with everything apart from the appointment system. It took months for me to receive a letter with my appointment date.

The letter arrived 6 weeks before the appointment. It would be useful to have the letter earlier so that the patient is aware that they are in the process and also so we can make any arrangements needed to keep the appointment. The letter emphasises on the importance of keeping appointment and arriving a few minutes early. On the day of my appointment I arrived 15 minutes early. There were 3 appointments before me but the patients arrived after me. However the late comers were seen before me resulting me to wait an hour before I was seen. In addition I had to pay an extra parking fee. I think it would be fair to see the patients who come late after the patients who have arrived in time.
