"Almost turned a hospital visit into a pleasure."

About: Heavitree Hospital

I went to the dermatology department for a biopsy on a lesion that wouldn't heal. Parking was easy and I paid for 2.5 hours. (I thought this would be long enough) I arrived 10 mins early and a nurse was calling out my name to start treatment, as I arrived. I registered, was taken straight to a changing room and a very pleasant dermatology doctor arrived to examine me 10 mins later. The doctor examined the wound and arranged for the biopsy. I mentioned I had some moles on my back and the doctor looked at them and said they also needed treatment. So ... 1 hour later I was in the operating area .... biopsy on lesion done, biopsy on mole done and two further moles excised, all carried out by very pleasant skin surgeon and theatre staff. Out into the waiting room for a cup of tea and a biscuit and instructions about aftercare from a nurse. I mentioned that I was going to overstay the car park, so a nurse took my car details and entered them into their system and said everything would be fine. I would like to congratulate every single member of staff that I met for providing a very efficient and pleasant visit to hospital. It was so relaxed that even the people in the waiting room were chatting to each other.
