"Fantastic IBD care"

About: Victoria Hospital / Endoscopy Victoria Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

I've now had a colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy and had on hand care from IBD nurses since being diagnosed and all nurses and doctors have been fantastic.

During both procedures of colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy nurses and doctors made me feel very much at ease in unpleasant circumstances. Through using laughter and humour to brighten things up.

My IBD nurses have been fantastic as they have always been at the end of an email or telephone whenever I've need them, to answer any questions I've had since diagnosis.

Dear ED02

Thank you for taking the time to post. It's not easy living with IBD and it was good to read that you feel well supported in dealing with your condition. Shelley and her team of nurses have a great service and I know that they try their best to be on hand when they're needed. I agree that having a colonoscopy or sigmoidoscopy is not a pleasant experience and I was glad that our staff made this a bit easier for you.

I have shared your story with all our staff and I'm sure your lovely comments will brighten their day.

Thanks again

Kind regards

Gill
